Wen is a decorative component at both ends of the ridge of the roof of buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. According to the existing data, Wen first appeared in the Han Dynasty, but its image is very different from that of Wen in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Wen has two functions, one is structural function, the other is allegorical function.
