Reunited After a Decade: A Malaysian Client's Choice to Return

We received our first inquiry from Malaysia in 2016.

The client, a Malaysia entrepreneur, wanted to build an authentic Chinese-style residence in Malaysia. He selected our Chinese-style gray clay roof tiles—the very first tiles for his dream home. Anyone from Malaysia familiar with the project would likely be impressed; locals even described the structure as a veritable castle.

We delivered the roofing tiles on schedule; they traveled across the ocean to crown his three-story Chinese-style villa. Spanning hundreds of square meters, the house featured an elevator, a traditional Chinese courtyard, upturned eaves, and the classic aesthetic of gray tiles against white walls—becoming a local landmark. The client was delighted with the finished home, and the project marked the beginning of a lasting relationship with our sales manager.

That connection has endured for ten years.

Over the past decade, we have stayed in constant touch. From holiday greetings and daily life updates to business news and the growth of his grandchildren, our relationship has transcended a mere buyer-seller dynamic; we have become close friends despite the vast distance between us. We are genuinely happy to see his business flourish and his family grow.

This spring, he told us, "We have more space; I want to expand the house."

So, in the blooming month of April, he returned to China. This time, our collaboration went beyond simply selling tiles. We worked together on the design, reviewed blueprints, discussed the curvature of the eaves and the height of the roof ridges, and even found time for sightseeing, tea, and casual conversation. It was a full and heartwarming week.

Ultimately, we finalized a new design based on his expansion needs, signed the contract, and moved into production. The entire process—from initial communication and design to the final agreement—flowed seamlessly. We eagerly look forward to the completion of his new structure.
